Trees, plants, open sky, rain, dirt-that’s my kind of place. When I’m outside I feel like I’m home. I’ve had a garden for at least ten years now. Having just moved here at the beginning of the year from Ohio, this is my first year having a Kentucky garden. I wasn’t convinced the bounty of red soil and rocks the tiller found would produce much. However, I have been overwhelmingly surprised! God provided the bluegrass with so much rain, I’ve had the most productive garden yet.
Zinnias, glads, and a small army of tomatoes. My sister used these to make an over-the-top roasted tomato basil soup.
Sunflowers: a garden essential. They make me smile:)
The setting sun made a nice backdrop to these teddy bear sunflowers.
