She played soccer for Asbury College. He played baseball for the University of Kentucky. It was only a matter of time that gravity or a love of sport would draw them together. Samantha, or “Sam” to her friends and family, and Aaron are one of those couples that bring a smile to your face watching them interact. It’s like they really were created just for each other.
They were married in the evening on Septemeber 5, a perfectly clear late summer day. Sam was stunning and all smiles in her dress. This was the same dress the bridal retailer told her probably wouldn’t fit because of her petite frame. Sam however knew al she needed was a good seamstress to make her dream dress a reality. She was right.
Aaron was in high spirits but noticibly nervous. Overall he was just elated to have found the woman of his dreams and be able to start their lives together.
After the wedding ceremony at Woodford Community Christian Church, their guests were invited to a reception right down the road at Castle Hill Winery in Versailles. Scenic rolling hills, a vineyard, old buildings and a beautiful banquet hall make this place a photographing paradise. There is a quaint old farmhouse where we took group photographs of the wedding party.
As we waited on the wedding party to arrive for photographs, Madison (the flower girl) entertained herself by writing her name in the dirt with a stray stick.
Lovely maids and the bride.
Then I took Sam, Aaron and I walked over to the vineyard for some creative shots.
Behind the old farmhouse we found this old shed. It has a nice rustic feel. Not to mention it has TONS of character. Such a sweet, romantic moment. Now on to the reception…
Then some fun dancing with the couple and the guests. 3D Entertainment kept the guests dancing and the party raving well into the night.
A final shot under the distant full moon in the clear night sky. Congratulations Sam and Aaron! And so, it starts…
